I squeezed this review in just under the wire of my self-imposed deadline, and it was well worth it. I love reading about writing, writers and how television and movies get made. Mike tells you all that you've ever wondered about. Where is Springfield? (it's nowhere real) How long does it take to write one episode (it depends) How are the guest stars chosen? (Sometimes because they owe Fox some money) Side note- guest stars make $400 proving that it's more about saying you were on The Simpson's than it being some high paying gig. Overall even if you aren't a fan of the show (we are) it has become a sort of social icon for our times. I found the book to be entertaining and irreverent much like The Simpson's itself.
Please note that I received a free advance E ARC of this book from Edelweiss + without a review requirement or any influence regarding review content should I choose to post a review. Apart from that, I have no connection at all to either the author or the publisher of this book.
