Alex and The Other: Weird Stories Gone Wrong

I read this entire books before finding out that it is number four in the series of Weird Stories Gone Wrong. So- now, we need to go back and look for the first three books.

Middle-Grade type creepy vibes to the max in this one. We giggled and speculated all through reading this trying to guess the next plot twist. In many ways, it reminded me of the X Files. Alex encounters some weird green glowy stuff in the woods; his cat runs away after hissing a strange warning repeated by his reflection and two strangers, and they all say the same thing- Beware The Other. It's delightfully quirky, and we read the entire book in two nights.

Please note that I received a free advance E ARC of this book from NetGalley without a review requirement or any influence regarding review content should I choose to post a review. Apart from that, I have no connection at all to either the author or the publisher of this book.

I'm a lifelong bibliophile who happens to love children's books and who should have become a librarian. Instead I horde books in case of apocalypse or the enactment of a Fahrenheit 451 type law. My five kids accept my addiction and have learned to accept books in odd places.
