Love Sugar Magic: A Dash of Trouble

I'm probably showing how long ago I watched the Disney Channel, but I got a hint of Wizards of Waverly Place from this novel. I loved that there are five sisters in this family and the authentic  Texas culture woven through the story. It's kind of a Middle-Grade Practical Magic that makes you want to eat cookies while reading.

If you go beyond the "magical" storyline you find a family that works together in a family business and above all else is there for each other. Leo is the youngest girl in her family and accidentally finds out that her family runs a "magical bakery" she is impatient to be initiated and steals the spellbook to try her hand at baking some magic.

Please note that I received this book in my Owl Crate Jr box without a review requirement or any influence regarding review content should I choose to post a review. Apart from that, I have no connection at all to either the author or the publisher of this book.

I'm a lifelong bibliophile who happens to love children's books and who should have become a librarian. Instead I horde books in case of apocalypse or the enactment of a Fahrenheit 451 type law. My five kids accept my addiction and have learned to accept books in odd places.
