Middle Grade Pride Celebration Titles

Since I covered Diverse YA, I thought I'd write a specialty MG teaser list, and with Pride this weekend in Chicago this seems like the perfect time to list my faves.

A Must Read

George is about a girl, who the world views as a boy. George just wants to be herself, but it’s hard when everyone thinks you’re different than how you feel inside.

A good book for kids and adults

Homosexuality is not presented as anything to be concerned about or particularly controversial in this funny sweet MG tale.

Theater Kids

I loved Nate's honesty and the fact that he wants to leave his small town. This brought back all the feels of high school theater. Book 2 is out now and Book 3 this Fall!

First Love

This book was adorable and enchanting. Great intro for the MG crowd that there is no "normal" way to fall in love.

Wacky Female Types

having paranormal experiences. I'm up to Volume 3 and am entranced with this rag tag band of characters.(probably better for the top end of MG)

Jennifer Naughton

I'm a lifelong bibliophile who happens to love children's books and who should have become a librarian. Instead I horde books in case of apocalypse or the enactment of a Fahrenheit 451 type law. My five kids accept my addiction and have learned to accept books in odd places.
