Red: The True Story of Red Riding Hood

Red is the third story in a Fairy Tale Trilogy written by Liesl Shurtliff. We had read Rump and wanted to know more about Red after meeting her within his story. This is a fun romp through fairy tale land. Fans of Once Upon A Time will love these books. Rump does not appear in this story. This book is Red's adventure, where she has to face her fears and weaknesses, over the course of a humorous, fast-paced, rollicking adventure. I enjoyed Rump well enough, but I enjoyed this story a lot more.

Red just doesn't know what to think about her magical abilities. Her Granny soon falls ill and is without means of a cure. So Red sets out on a journey with her new friend, Goldie, and faces some obstacles and a few dangerous situations to save her life. I love the premise that these are the "real stories" and found this story to be a hilarious read aloud.

We bought this book from Amazon for our own library and I am reviewing it for fun.
