Votes for Women!: American Suffragists and the Battle for the Ballot

This book is a well-researched book of the history of the suffrage movement. I would not say it is a "living book" and reads like a public school textbook. I'll admit I ended up skimming much of the last 50 pages. If you want,/need a complete history of this critical time in America you may get more out of it than I did.

I include this review here because I don't want you all to think I "love" all the books that I read for this blog.

Verdict: borrow- unless you've got an obsession about the subject.

I received an ARC of this book at ALA last Summer.

I'm a lifelong bibliophile who happens to love children's books and who should have become a librarian. Instead I horde books in case of apocalypse or the enactment of a Fahrenheit 451 type law. My five kids accept my addiction and have learned to accept books in odd places.
