Granted is whimsical, magical, and all things are otherwise known as amazing. I received this as a DRC and plan on pre-ordering it for ourselves.

Ophelia Delphinium Fidgets is a wish-granting fairy- (best name ever!) I loved the whole world of this novel. We meet her on her first day on the job and witness her out of the box problem-solving skills as she navigates the human world. For a fairy who started out determined to complete each assignment by the book, when the time came to grant the wish, she wavered. She makes a judgment call, and we follow her story from there.

I think this would make an excellent read aloud for all ages- both younger and older than middle grade. There are many plot twists that I know will have your kids begging for one more chapter.

Verdict- Buy it.

I'm a lifelong bibliophile who happens to love children's books and who should have become a librarian. Instead I horde books in case of apocalypse or the enactment of a Fahrenheit 451 type law. My five kids accept my addiction and have learned to accept books in odd places.
