My husband just had surgery, and in the disclosure, it said that the robot would be under the surgeon's control at all times. I had just finished reading this book, and I may have snorted with laughter aloud. My 12 yo may be on the high end of the age range of middle-grade books but like any good book if it's funny age doesn't matter. This story is so amusing that I had to stop reading several times and take a minute to compose myself.

One day Ken finds a box on his porch and finds pieces of a robot inside. After assembling himself "Greeeg" wants to eat everything, and then that leads to 90 mph farts. If you are still shopping for holiday gifts, this would be a great one to hand to a reluctant reader. We can't wait to read the sequel.

I'm a lifelong bibliophile who happens to love children's books and who should have become a librarian. Instead I horde books in case of apocalypse or the enactment of a Fahrenheit 451 type law. My five kids accept my addiction and have learned to accept books in odd places.
