The Skeptical Vegan


I'm still skeptical about veganism, but that didn't prevent me from laughing and learning a bit more about the myriad of reasons that people choose to be vegan. In full disclosure, I'm more of a Whole 30/gluten free gal so although I eat plenty of vegetables, I also eat meat.  A couple of my kids are vegetarian (not vegan) and I looked forward to reading an adult perspective that possibly would go beyond Harambe as an inspiration. This book fit the bill, Eric kept his sense of humor all while making valid points about the effects that the corporate meat industry has had on the earth and the various health benefits of veganism. The recipes at the end of the book are awesome. I've already tried making the gluten free vegan gravy and it was a hit for us. I'm always on the lookout for healthy recipes that simplify our various tastes while serving all of us dinner at the same time.
